Payment Policy
At Scienties, we recognize the valuable contributions of authors, editors, and reviewers to the advancement of scientific knowledge. In line with our mission to disseminate high-quality research, we offer a transparent and equitable payment system that rewards participation in the publishing process.
Payments to Authors
Authors have two options for making their work available:
1. Open Access Option: Authors can pay a fee of €1,950 per article to make their research openly accessible immediately upon publication.
2. Revenue-Sharing Option: Authors may choose not to pay any fees and instead earn revenue each time their article is downloaded.
Earnings for Authors:
Per-download revenue: €1 per article download per year.
Per-citation revenue: €1 per citation indexed in Scopus.
Payment Terms:
Payments are made by bank transfer once the author’s balance exceeds €50, or funds may remain in the author’s account until requested.
For co-authored articles, payments are either split according to the authors’ agreement or divided equally, as specified in the publication contract.
Under the pay-per-view model, articles become open access after two years. From that point onward, authors earn revenue per citation instead of per download.

Payments to Reviewers
Reviewers play a critical role in maintaining the quality and integrity of published research. They receive compensation for timely and properly completed reviews:
Up to €25 per review completed within 7 days.
Payments are made either after every €100 earned or at the end of the calendar year.
Payments to Editors
Associate editors and editors are compensated for their oversight of submitted articles:
€25 per article handled.
Payments are made either after every €100 earned or at the end of the calendar year.

Principles of the Payment System
All payments are designed to reward meaningful contributions and encourage the timely dissemination of knowledge.
The system ensures transparency, fairness, and flexibility, supporting both authors and readers while maintaining sustainability for the journal.
Note: All payment values are reviewed and may be adjusted every three months to ensure fairness and alignment with the journal’s sustainability goals.
