Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- 1. All authors have made a substantial contribution to this manuscript and approve the final version.
- 2. The authors declare no conflicts of interest related to this work.
- 3. The article is original, and all factual statements are based on the authors’ research, for which they are responsible.
- 4. The manuscript is not under review elsewhere and has not been published, in whole or in part, in another journal.
- 5. The manuscript does not infringe copyright or violate privacy rights.
- 6 . All procedures followed ethical guidelines, including approval by the relevant ethics committee and compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki.
- 7. (If Applied) Patient data were handled in accordance with institutional protocols.
Original Research Articles
The Scienties recommends that the EQUATOR Network guidelines be followed, according to the type of study conducted.
Original articles are based on clinical, laboratory, therapeutic and empirical studies presenting novel data, methods, or findings with clear relevance to the journal’s scope. Structure and Required Sections: Introduction, Material (or Patients) and Methods, Results, Discussion and Conclusions.

Requirements length: up to 4000 words (excluding abstract, tables, figures); Abstract max. 350 words; Figures/Tables max. 6; each figure may contain up to 6 images; Keywords up to 10; Key Messages max. 3 (15 words each) on strengths and limitations; appears after abstract in final publication and References max. 50
The clinical trial registration number (for all RCTs) is required.
Review Articles
Critical and comprehensive overviews of the state-of-the-art in specific topics, including systematic, scoping, or narrative reviews. Should address topics relevant to the journal’s audience, summarizing current clinical knowledge, recent advances, or consensus on controversial issues.
Requirements length: up to 3500 words (excluding abstract, tables, figures); Abstract max. 150 words; Figures/Tables max. 4; each figure may contain up to 6 images; Keywords up 10 to; Key messages max. 3 (15 words each) and References max. 150
Systematic Reviews
These are based on data from original research. Meta-analyses include the use of statistical methods. Should aim for evidence-based conclusions with a clearly defined topic. Structure: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion. Methods: Must detail search strategy, data extraction, evidence classification and analysis. Follow PRISMA guidelines and register the protocol at PROSPERO.
Abstract: Structured, reflecting the manuscript content.
Requirements length: up to 3500 words (excluding abstract, tables, figures); Abstract max. 250 words(divided into Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusion); Figures/Tables max. 6each figure may include up to 6 images; ; Keywords up 10; Key messages max. 3 (15 words each) and References max. 150
Prespectives
These articles may address a broad spectrum of topics relevant to the healthcare field, including current or emerging issues, health management and policy, medical history, societal connections, epidemiology, and more.
Requirements length: up to 1200 words (excluding tables and figures); Abstract none; Figures/Tables max. 2; and References max. 10.
Case Studies and Reports
Case reports should provide novel insight into a disease, i.e. where the authors have measured or observed something novel around a mechanism or it is the first observation. From an educational point of view or a reminder of what was once known and perhaps less well known, or those that are the second or third example of a disease or a phenomenon, are less likely to be accepted.

Should include: Introduction, Case Description, and Discussion. Follow CARE guidelines. Authorship max. 5 authors. For 6+, a cover letter must justify authorship per ICMJE criteria. Written informed consent is required (patient, next of kin, or legal guardian)—use the journal's template. Patient consent must be obtained prior to submission, and the patient consent declaration form must be sent with your submission. The forms can be found in the Required forms section.

Letters to the Editor
Letters to the Editor may include critical commentary on articles published in the journal, analytical or opinion pieces on topics of relevance to healthcare, such as health policy and medical education, or briefcase report descriptions.
Requirements length 800 words (excluding figures and tables); Authors 5 max; Abstract none; Figures/Tables 1 composed of a max. 2 images and References max. 8; One key message (max 14 words)
Correspondence & Reply
Correspondence articles provide scholarly comments on articles published in Scienties. They must be submitted within six months of the original article’s online publication. If accepted, the correspondence will be shared with the authors of the original article, who may be invited to submit a reply. The journal will index both correspondence and replies. The original article must be cited as the first reference in any correspondence. In replies, the correspondence must be cited as the first reference, and the original article as the second.
Recommended length: up to 1000 words, 1 tables or figures and 10 references

The copyright of all articles remains with the authors. Upon submission and acceptance, authors grant Scienties an exclusive license to publish, distribute, and commercialize the article for a period of two (2) years. During this embargo period, the article will be available under a subscription and pay-per-download model, and redistribution or republication by third parties is not permitted.
Open Access Policy after 2 Years
After the 2-year embargo period, all articles will be made freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), with the following condition:
BY (Attribution): The original author(s) must be credited.
This license allows anyone to copy, distribute, adapt, and build upon the work, even for commercial purposes, as long as proper credit is given to the author(s). It is the most widely used open access license and is strongly recommended for international visibility and indexing in databases such as DOAJ, Scopus, and PubMed Central.
